Missy phones into Coffee Chat, a local radio talk show, hoping to get advice from Connie, the talk show host. Intrigued by Missy’s situation, Connie asks listeners to call in and give their opinion, should Missy make a move on Mr.Coffee?

Meanwhile the mystery coffeehouse man, Dan, happens to catch the broadcast and puts two and two together. Skim latte=beautiful redhead.

After a few bobbled meeting mishaps at the coffee shop Dan decides to take a chance on love and calls in to Coffee Chat. If he really wants Missy will he over come his shyness to go after what he wants?

Coffee and Love To Go is a sweet story about the beginning of a relationship. Christine Columbus hits a nerve with the two shy characters that need help coming together. They find it with help from a radio talk show. Coffee and Love To Go is a must read. My only regret is it didn’t last long enough. I look forward to reading more by Christine Columbus.

Amber and her black lab, Charlie were heading to Grandma’s house, which was an hour and fifteen minutes away, so they could spend Christmas together. On her way there,Charlie was less than cooperative. He just wouldn’t listen to Amber no matter how stern she soundedor no matter how many times she repeated herself.Finally, letting him have his way, she continued on her way to Grandma’s.

During her trip, she experienced even more aggravation. Her car got a flat tire on one of the highways. Getting out of the car without any hat, gloves or coat on, she went to inspect the problem. Charlie became inquisitive and hopped into the front seat. Luck wasn’t going to get any better for Amber.Unfortunately,Charlie stepped on the automatic door lock button and locked Amber out of the car. Now she was freezing from the extremely cold, snowy weather, locked out of her car and having a flat tire all on Christmas Eve. She knew she had to get into her car some how to get her cell phone to call for help, but it seemed the only way to get into her car would be to break the window. Scouting around in the nearby ditch for some kind of heavy object to break the window, she came across a rock. Heading back to the car she realized that Charlie was really complicating matters at this point because he wouldn’t stay out of the way  could break the window.

Deep in thought Amber was startled out of her mind by a male voice coming up behind her. He asked her what exactly she was doing and she began to answer all his questions. He offered for her to sit in his pick up truck to warm up while they waited for the tow truck to come. She accepted, but not without making certain she memorized his features and scoped out any suspicious stuff in his truck in case he was a serial killer or anyone wanted by the police.

Does this stranger have true intentions to only help Amber or does he have anulterior motive with her? Does she find out who he was? Does she ever get through the ordeal unscathed and make it to Grandma’s?

The Perfect Country And Western Story

"I used to wonder if it was possible to write a believable ten-page love
scene. Christine Columbus’ The Perfect Country Western Story has a
fourteen-pager written so well that I read every word. The scene occurs
after pitch-perfect escalation of character conflict, plot twists, and
eighty mile per hour winds, and ends with a twist that made me go back and
read it again.

One year earlier, Alex fell in love with Ben at Country Time music fest. A
family tragedy tore her away before she could return his hat. Hoping Ben
will come back this year, Alex brings his hat—and her dreams of restarting
their romance.  Ben didn’t get this dream girl’s name before she
disappeared with his autographed Toby Keith cowboy hat, intended for his
disabled younger brother. Now he is back to claim what is rightfully
his—his hat and his pride.

Christine’s voice is engaging; her dialogue is believable. The Perfect
Country Western Story would make a great Lifetime Channel movie."

Alexandra found the love of her life at a music fest a year ago and lost him the same day. A family tragedy tore her away from the event while he’d gone to bring friends back to meet her. Leaving so unexpectedly, she took with her a Stetson autographed by Toby Keith that he’d temporarily had her hold. Guilt has weighed heavily on her as much as her longing to see him again at this year’s event. If he comes…if she can find him in a crowd of 50,000…if he’ll forgive her for leaving with his prized hat. So many ifs.

Ben thought he’d found ‘The One’ a year ago, but evidently he’d been wrong. He’d left her alone for a few minutes at the fest and when he’d returned, she was gone, along with a prized hat he’d intended to give to his disabled younger brother. And he hadn’t even gotten her name. All he could hope for was that she’d come to this year’s fest, with his hat. He was no longer interested in anything more from her.

But love can be a complicated thing. It can twist a person’s emotions around and make them be stubborn at times. And yet sometimes it finds a way to bring people back together. If you enjoy second chance at love stories as much as I do, then this book is for you.
